Your Mission

This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties*:

Provide support and help coordination and execution of the Benelux Marketing activities

 

You will be part of the Benelux marketing team and will support the Brand Managers, mainly working on the Skylanders and Call of Duty franchises. You will closely work internally with the Trade/PR/sales team and the European Head Office in UK. Externally you will be in regular contact with agencies (media, PR, licensing, digital) and partners.

 

Assist the Skylanders Brand Manager & Call of Duty Brand Manager in the following tasks:

 

  • Assist in the development of communication tools: Managing assets, text/packaging proofreading, localisation and translations of communication supports (eg print advertising, websites, videos, surveys, etc).

 

  • Support the Brand Managers in the development and execution of the media plans: Proof check of promotional tools (flyers, print advertising, videos), participate in the localisation of TV spots and trailers, track and follow up the execution of the campaign, coordinate contest and prizes.

 

  • Analyse results of media campaigns (post mortem) and build reporting and recommendations together with the Brand Manager.

 

  • Coordinate events (e.g launch events & demonstrations): Set-up, content, activities, logistics, creation of promotional items, presence during events, reporting and brand ambassador role including product demonstrations during events.

 

  • Track and analyze sell-in, sell-through and pre-order performance of physical and digital weekly.

 

  • Support in the execution of licensing activities.

 

  • Track competition and evolution of the toys and video games markets.

 

  • Give product demonstrations to retailers, consumers and/or partners.

 

  • Cover Brand Managers tasks in their absence and support other Brand Managers if required.

 

Your Platform

Based in Schiphol – Rijk in a very green office park under the smoke of Amsterdam, situated only 5 minutes from the Airport Schiphol. The office houses a host of different divisions within Activision|Blizzard including; Sales, Marketing, HR, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax & VAT. Schiphol – Rijk is easy accessible by car and public transport and it also offers a bus running every 5 minutes to the Airport and train station during daily rush hours.  Our Schiphol – Rijk facility offers all employees free fruits and drinks and a games room.

* The video game industry and therefore our business are fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners.

Vereisten

 

Player Profile

  • Available from August 2016 for at least 5 months, on a full time basis.
  • Affinity towards gaming, kids & youth marketing and entertainment industry.
  • Currently studying for a marketing /communication degree (HBO/ WO).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong analytical skills.
  • Fluent written and verbal language skills in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
  • Project management ability to plan and manage projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Management of graphical and video tools would be an asset.
  • Team spirit, ability to work autonomously, sociable and sense of humour.
  • Driving license would be an asset.        
  • Pragmatic and hands-on, “can do” attitude, not afraid to think outside the box.  
  • Ability to balance priorities and help to drive the agenda with other members of the team in a constructive manner.
